February is Heart Month—a time to recognize the incredible strength of those facing heart disease, surgery, and transplants. Last year, 14% of the families we served were on a heart journey, including the Burgess family.

For 117 nights, they stayed in a Red Mountain Grace apartment as their foster daughter, Auberionna, awaited and recovered from a life-saving heart transplant. In the midst of uncertainty, their apartment became more than just a place to stay—it was a place to rest, to heal, and to be together.

Six days after returning home, their hearts grew even more full—Auberionna’s adoption was finalized. This month, she turns ONE! A milestone filled with love, gratitude, and the impact of gracious hospitality.
